Climate: Lowland to highland species
This swamp-dwelling species is one of the few that will develop basal rosettes when larger giving the appearance of a carpet of pitchers with no leaves. Loves high temperatures and humidity. Pitchers are globose and vary enormously in colouration.
The female parent is the 'Williams Red' form of the species, which remains the deepest and purest red form ever seen. The male parent is a selected clone of N. ampullaria 'Harlequin'. This particular clone was selected from a large number of candidate clones for it’s excellent colouration.
*Please note that these plants are grown in extremely humid conditions and will require a period of acclimatization to your growing conditions. Photos are provided for reference and may not represent the size of plant you will receive.
