Description
Herichthys carpintis is a larger species of cichlid from northern Mexico, related to the well-known Texas Cichlid (H. cyanoguttatus). Like most other large central American cichlids, it is agressive and territorial; the best tankmates would be large and robust schoolers such as silver dollars.
