Description
Botia kubotai, also known as the Burmese Border Loach, is a mid-sized loach that reaches about 6" in length max, although 4-5" is more typical for aquarium specimens. Like all loaches, they should be kept in groups of at least 3, preferably more. Young polka-dot loaches start out with a plain black-and-white barred pattern, but as they grow the band separate into more and more dots, until the adults end up with lots of fine spotting and only the faintest hint of bars left intact. Like most Botia, they will voraciously devour pest snails.
