Description
The Japanese cave gecko, also known as Kuroiwa's ground gecko, Ryuku eyelid gecko, Kuroiwa's leopard gecko, Kuroiwa's eyelid gecko, Okinawan ground gecko, or Tokashiki gecko, is a species of lizard in the family Eublepharidae. The species is endemic to the Okinawa Islands in the Ryukyu Archipelago, Japan. Endangered, and very special in the reptile hobby. They prefer cooler and more humid environments compared to other, more familiar geckos such as the Leopard gecko, and are slightly smaller at full size.
