Description
Apistogramma psammophila is a fairly recently described species of apisto. There is little information available online regarding these rare cichlids, but their care seems to be in line with most other apistos. They are a slender species with large finnage, and males develop orange and blue colour with maturity. They seem to be a smaller species and we do not expect them to exceed 2.5" in length.
These are young, wild-caught individuals that are not yet large enough to differentiate between sexes. They are currently around an inch long.
