Description
Xenopus laevis is a fully aquatic frog from Southeast Africa. These inactive frogs are very simple to care for; a 15-20 gallon aquarium with a heater and filter is perfectly adequate for 2-3 frogs. Clawed frogs are voracious eaters and relish meaty foods such as earthworms, bloodworms, dried/frozen shrimp and small fish. These frogs can eat prey larger than themselves so caution should be taken if you want to house them with other creatures.
These are juveniles around 2-2.5" long.
