Description
Andinoacara pulcher. This is the wild-type colour form of the popular Electric Blue Acara, named for the pattern of blue points that appear on mature specimens. These mid-sized cichlids are not as aggressive as some other cichlids are known to be, so they make a good centrepiece for mid-to-large sized community aquaria. Acara are quite hardy and thus make a good introduction to cichlids for beginners. They are easy to spawn too, so they make a good choice for trying your hand at breeding cichlids.
This is a batch of locally-bred subadults, around 3-4" long.
