Description
Eirmotus octazona is a diminutive barb from peninsular Malaysia. While they may not be as colourful as some of the many other types of striped barb (being largely transparent with black barring), its distinguishing feature is its size; these are a true nano barb, full grown at not quite 1.5". These shy fish don't do well in a bustling tank of larger fish, but fit right into a nano community with such tankmates as chilli rasboras, celestial pearl danios, ember tetras, and other tiny species.
These are adults, around 1-1.25" long.
