Description
The Eggspot Bristlenose Pleco (Ancistrus sp. L327) is a distinctive species in the aquarium hobby. Originating from the Rio Jari in the Amazon Basin, this pleco is recognized for its unique egg-like spots and the bushy tentacles that adorn the snouts of mature males.
Reaching up to 3.9 inches in length, the Eggspot Bristlenose Pleco is a great fit for various aquarium setups. Males can display territorial behavior in small tanks, but generally, these plecos are peaceful and compatible with most community fish that are not overly large or aggressive.
This species thrives in a diet primarily composed of vegetarian foods, such as algae wafers and spirulina-based sinking foods, supplemented with vegetables like zucchini and cucumber.
