Description
Ancistrus ranunculus is a weirdly beautiful pleco from Brazil. With a highly flattened head and a face covered in 'tentacles', these fish are downright Lovecraftian. Care is similar to most other plecos; they do appreciate cool, well-oxygenated water. An omnivorous diet that includes meaty frozen foods should be offered.
These are stunning adults around 4" long.
