Panaque sp, potentially P. nigrolineatus. Royal plecos are beautiful xylivorous (wood-eating) catfish that reach about 16" long. Besides their large size, care is the same as most other plecos: driftwood is a must as it is a required foodsource and fibre for them, otherwise they relish most veggie-based foods such as zucchini, peas, sinking algae wafers, etc. A little protein, such as from frozen foods or sinking carnivore pellets, is appreciated every now and again as well.
These are babies around 1-2.5" long, of unfortunately indeterminate species.
