Description
Taterurndina ocellicauda is a small species of social goby from Papua New Guinea. As gudgeons, these are a free-swimming goby, unlike more familiar gobies that sit on the substrate. Uniquely, they do perfectly fine whether kept alone or in groups. While they max out around 3", they are slow growing and long lived so it will take at least a couple years to approach full size. These fish are living rainbows, with blue, yellow, and red scattered across the body and fins, and iridescent pupils which are particularly pronounced in males.
