Description
One of the Leporacnthicus spiny plecos, hailing from Colombia and Venezuela. Reaching about 12" long, these are a large pleco. As meat eaters, protein-rich sinking pellets and frozen foods should be the main foods offered. The name Vampire pleco comes from their sharp, hooked teeth, quite unlike the spoon- or chisel-shaped teeth of most plecos.
These are juveniles around 2.5" long.
