Description
Xenophallus umbratilis, sometimes called the Golden Teddy, is a rare livebearer from Costa Rica. Males reach around an inch and a half, and females around 2.25" max. These little beauties become a golden-orange colour with maturity, and have black highlights in the fins. Males, like many small Poecilids, have an enormous gonopodium; about 1/3 of their body length! These fish will mix well with other laid back tankmates around their size, but if you want to breed them a species-only tank is recommended.
These are subadults around 1-1.25" long.
