Description
Abramites hypselonotus is a larger (up to 6") characin that swims at a distinct head-down angle. While they will prey on smaller fishes, they are relatively peaceful with fishes their size. Long trailing fins such as those of angelfish may be nipped, though, as will soft plants. Overall, either a group or a single specimen are a bold and unique addition to larger community aquaria.
These are juveniles around 1.5" long.
