Description
Barbus fasciolatus is a rarely-seen species of barb from Central and Southern Africa. They reach about 2" in total length, so they are of a more manageable size than some other common barbs. These peaceful shoalers pair well with most similar-sized fish. They have a nice barred pattern on a sandy-coloured body, and males will go deep orange to red when in breeding condition and displaying.
These are nearly full-size specimens, around 1.5" long.
