Description
Puntius titteya is a small and extremely hardy barb from Sri Lanka. These are among the most peaceful of barbs and are well suited to a laid-back community tank with similarly peaceful species. Males are reddish, intensifying to a deep scarlet when they are ready to spawn. Females are a more muted copper colour but are still quite beautiful in their own right; having them around is also necessary to make males show their deepest red colour.
These are subadults of the albino morph, lacking dark pigment, around 1" long. There are both males and females available.
