Description
Jordanella floridae is a species of killifish from Florida that is renowned for eating hair algae. They are commonly referred to as the "American Flagfish" or "Florida Flagfish" for their coincidental resemblance to the American flag; males have a red and pale green pattern of stripes across the body, and a dark, bluish patch on the side is said to represent the canton and stars. These fish are mildly aggressive/territorial, but mix well in community tanks of fish with similar dispositions, such as large danios, certain tetras or cichlids, and most barbs.
These are juveniles around 1-1.25" long.
