Apistogramma eremnopyge is a species of dwarf cichlid from the Rio Pintuyacu in Peru. This rarely seen fish prefers soft, acidic water and a nice peaceful tank. Males develop blue bodies with read and orange fins, and a lovely red and blue mask.
These are locally bred specimens that are fully adapted to, and thriving in, our local water conditions. pH is around 7.4-7.6 and hardness is about 8 degrees each for KH and GH.
