Description
These beautiful dwarf cichlids were captive bred in Europe, and have an impressive array of colours. Blues, reds, yellows, oranges, and blacks adorn the bodies of these tiny beauties. Apistogramma viejita is commonly confused with the similar A. macmasteri; coupled with the many naturally occurring locales and colour morphs of both species can make differentiating the two difficult to the untrained eye. Morphological characteristics of this batch would suggest these are likely a variety of macmasteri, or an undescribed but related species. Nonetheless, we will offer these gorgeous dwarf cichlids under the name we received them by, so as to differentiate this unique strain from other macmasteri morphs.
