Description
Betta sp. 'Api-Api' is an as-of-yet undescribed species of Betta, and may be the single smallest betta on Earth! These tiny cuties belong the the B. coccina species complex, characterized by small size, elongated bodies, and bubblenesting habits. While Api-Api may not be the most colourful betta, they are still a pleasing red colour. And with an adult size of only 3cm/just over an inch, these bettas can be kept in a 2.5-5 gallon tank for their whole lives! Soft, acidic water is preferred, as is dim lighting and dense planting. Tankmates are best avoided with this shy species, but Api-Api pack enough personality into a teeny package to make it worthwhile!
