Description
Hemirhamphodon tengah is one of the most captivating and colourful halfbeak species. These soft-water, acidity-loving fish are unique among halfbeaks for being egg-layers, not livebearers. Care and spawning is very similar to Aphyosemion spp. killifish, although the halfbeaks like it warm. As strict surface dwellers they only eat from the surface, so flakes or floating pellets are recommended. Fruit flies are also beloved!
These are young adults around 2" long.
