Description
Synodontis multipunctatus is one of the most iconic and beautiful syno cats available. Hailing from Lake Tanganyika, their earned their name through their unique breeding behavious; like cuckoo birds, they are brood parasites. When mouthbrooding cichlids are laying their eggs, the synos slip in and lay their own; the cichlids then unwitting take the catfish eggs into their mouth. The synos hatch first, eat the cichlid eggs, and are then cared for by their adoptive cichlid "parents". These are a peaceful community catfish that does well in small groups.
These are juveniles just shy of 2" long.
