Description
Sahyadria denisonii is a highly treasured aquarium fish from southern India. Known by many names, such as Torpedo Barb, Roseline Shark, and Red Flash Barb, this larger barb reaches a maximum length of about 6". While their large size and high activity level means they do require a fairly spacious aquarium, they are one of the most beautiful fishes you can add to a community tank. Despite their size, they are very mild-mannered and are peaceful with most fish that won't fit in their mouths. There are few fish that can compare to the spectacle of a school of Denison's Barbs racing side to side across a planted aquascape.
These are juveniles around 2.5" long.
