Description
Oreichthys crenuchoides is a lovely smaller barb from eastern India. Reaching around 2", these are a smaller and more peaceful barb than say, Tiger Barbs. They are named for the lovely, draped-over dorsal fin of the adult males. Good tankmates would include small schoolers such as certain rasboras, dwarf danios, and small tetras, as well as peaceful bottom dwellers such as kuhli loaches or Corydoras spp. These somewhat shy fishes do best in well decorated and planted tanks.
These are juveniles, less than an inch long. Too small to sex, sorry!
