Bettas (Betta splendens hybrids), also known as Siamese Fighting Fish, are quite possibly the most popular and iconic aquarium fish. Hailing from Thailand, these fish have been kept as pets for over 200 years! We strongly recommend at the very least a heated and filtered 2.5-5 gallon plus aquarium for bettas; when kept properly, you will get to see your fish's personality and natural behavior shine through! Always remember that fish are living creatures, and not simply decor. Bettas also make great centrepieces for small, peaceful community aquaria, with tankmates such as certain rasboras and tetras!
