Description
Cichlasoma festae is a large, aggressive cichlid from South America. These beautiful bruisers have orange to red bodies with dark banding, often with a hint of green iridescence overtop. While they are known to be mean, especially when spawning, they can still potentially be housed with other similarly sized, robust fishes. They can be unpredictable though, so proceed with caution. Despite their size and temper, these fish have captivated hobbyists with the beauty and intelligence.
