Description
Geophagus argyrostictus, sometimes known as the Xingu Bluestreak eartheater, is a larger geo growing to about 10" in males. Like all geos, it is best maintained in a harem-type group with one male and several females, and does best on a soft, sandy substrate that it can sift through. Peaceful characins included as dither fish help calm them and bring out natural behaviour. As adults they are greenish-gold with electric blue lips and streaking on the face.
These are babies around 1" long, not yet coloured up or sexable.
