Description
Marisa cornuarietis is a mid to large sized aquatic snail. Despite heavily resembling the ramshorn snails that often hitchhike with aquarium plants, these are actually lunged snails in the apple snail family. Their care is virtually identical to mystery snails; cool, hard water is preferred. Like their cousins, they may eat soft live plants, but generally leave durable plants such as Anubias or Java Fern alone.
These specimens have a diameter of around 1.25-1.75".
