Description
The ever popular Honey Gourami (Trichogaster chuna, syn. Colisa chuna) is one of smallest and definitely the most peaceful out of the widely-available gouramis. Reaching about 2" long, these are the ideal community gourami, generally ignoring other tankmates entirely. Males of the 'Gold' morph develop lovely orange and metallic green fins, while females are more subdued (but still colourful!) with a transverse brown band across the flank. Take care not to mix them with particularly large or boisterous species, such as certain barbs, as they may be intimidated out of eating.
These are adults, around 1.5" long.
