Description
Ceratophyllum demersum is a hardy floating plant. Also known as Coontail, hornwort has needle-like leaves that grow in rings along its stem as it floats at the surface. This plant is very quick growing and thus well-suited to removing excess nutrients from the water column; it also provide shelter near the surface for shy or young fish.
