Jasper is an opaque, impure variety of silica, usually red, yellow, brown, green, and, rarely, blue. This mineral is an aggregate of microgranular quartz and/or cryptocrystalline chalcedony and other mineral phases. This specific form is uncommon with its eyed appearance and blue-green colour.
