DUE TO SHIPPING SENSITIVITY WE ARE NOT OFFERING OUR LIVE ARRIVAL GUARANTEE ON THIS SPECIES!
Neoamprologus ocellatus is a very small shell-dwelling species of cichlid from Lake Tanganyika. These spunky fish are quite territorial for their size and do best in a species-only colony. If you are to mix them with other fishes, a spacious tank is best, and rock-dwelling Julidochromis or Neolamprologus make the best tankmates. Deep aragonite sand with lots of empty snail shells is all these little fish need to be happy!
These are local-bred juveniles of the line-bred 'Gold' morph, about 1" long. Too small to sex, sorry!
