Description

Lamprologus ocellatus is a very small shell-dwelling species of cichlid from Lake Tanganyika. These spunky fish are quite territorial for their size and do best in a species-only colony. If you are to mix them with other fishes, a spacious tank is best, and rock-dwelling Julidochromis or Neolamprologus make the best tankmates. Deep aragonite sand with lots of empty snail shells is all these little fish need to be happy!

These are juveniles of the line-bred 'Gold' morph, about 1" long. Too small to sex, sorry!
