Description
Ancistrus sp, also known as the Bristlenose pleco. These are a smaller species of pleco maxing out around 4-6" and are thus much better suited to the average community tank than common plecos that are often found in stores. Males develop odd but intriguing tentacles that grow off their faces; these are thought to imitate young plecos and thus make the male look like a good father to potential mates.
These are approximately 2-3" long juveniles of the Longfin Super Red morph.
