Description
Melanotaenia maccullochi is a lovely dwarf rainbow from Papua New Guinea and Australia. With orangeish fins and several broken stripes across the flank they have an attractive and chic look. Like all rainbowfish they are adaptable and active schoolers that prefer heavily planted aquaria. They reach a similar size to the more popular neon dwarf rainbow, at about 2-3" long. Definitely a great addition to community aquaria, especially for the rainbowfish collector.
