Description
Carnegiella strigata is the most ornate species of hatchetfish. Like other hatchets, they are schoolers and should be maintained in groups. Hatchet are accomplished jumpers, so a complete lid is a must. Few other fish spend as much time at the surface as hatchets do, making them perfect to add life to an often empty layer of the tank. Great for paludariums too!
These are adults, just over an inch long.
