Description
Melanotaenia rubrostriata is an uncommon and stunning rainbowfish species. With pale bluish bodies marked by pink to red stripes, they have a unique and eye-catching pattern. This is a larger rainbow, and males may reach up to 6" long, although 4" is more typical. Like all rainbows they do best in at least a trio, and are suitable tankmates for other mid-sized community fishes.
These are juveniles around 1.5-2" long, just barely starting to colour up.
