Description
Pelvicachromis taeniatus 'Moliwe'. One of many localities of this species, the 'Moliwe' race has unusually blue females, and males have a yellow belly and throat with purple fins. Unlike the common Krib, P. taeniatus males are just as if not more colourful than females. Kribs make good community fish but do be aware they get territorial when spawning, especially with other cichlids.
These are subadults, with males around 2" long and females around 1.5".
