Description
Pelvicachromis taeniatus 'Nigerian Green'. One of many localities of this species, Nigerian Greens are less overtly colourful than some morphs (such as the similar Nigerian reds) but are unique in that a lot of what would be metallic blue colour on other kribs is a turquoise green instead. Unlike the common Krib, P. taeniatus males are just as if not more colourful than females. Kribs make good community fish but do be aware they get territorial when spawning, especially with other cichlids.
These are subadults, with males around 2" long and females around 1.5".
