Description
This Hypancistrus sp. is one of many plecos traded under the name 'snowball'. These small plecos (up to ~5") are more carnivorous than many would expect out of a pleco, and relish sinking meaty foods such as carnivore pellets, frozen bloodworms, brine shrimp, etc. With their bold white spots on a jet-black body, these are one of the more attractive fancy plecos. These catfish mix well into community aquaria; just take care that enough food makes it to the bottom for them, and they should be happy.
These are juveniles around 2" long.
