Description
The Parancistrus sp. (L332), also known as the Green Chubby Pleco, is a captivating species native to the Rio Xingu in Brazil. Growing up to 8", this fish is easily recognized by its unique features, including a membranous connection between the dorsal and adipose fins and large gill openings. Unlike many other species, its cephalic and body scutes are not keeled. Nuptial males also display fleshy folds along the base of the dorsal fin. The Green Chubby Pleco is a peaceful species ideal for community aquariums and requires ample space and water quality to thrive.
