Nematobrycon lacortei is a colourful, mid-sized tetra from Colombia. Like the related Emperor tetra, it characteristically lacks an adipose fin. These peaceful fish can be easily sexed as males have red eyes and extended fins, whilst females have teal eyes and rounder bodies. They are quite peaceful and fit well into most community aquaria.

These are individuals ranging from 1-2" in length. They still need conditioning to come into their full colour.
