Description
This locale of thumbnail dart frog is a stunning collection of blue-black and reds, with blue-black spots over the eyes, lending to a very unique appearance. They hail from southeastern Peruvian forests from 150 to 405m in elevation. This frog is somewhat social but quite shy and so may not be seen all of the time. They are EXREMELY fast, so be very careful when feeding or misting. Captive breeding of these animals is crucial to their continuation in the hobby, as with all dart frogs.
