Description
Hyalobagrus flavus is a small Bagrid catfish from South Asia. Unlike the more widely-known predatory Bagrids such as the Goonch catfish, this is a small, schooling species. With a transparent yellow body marked by bold black blotching, these are an attractive and easy-going catfish for the community aquarium. Bear in mind that they shy away from darkness, and do not tolerate poor water conditions.
These are near full-grown adults, around 2" long.
