Sundadanio axelrodi 'Blue' is a diminutive Southeast Asian cyprinid that does not quite reach 1" long. Named for their pearlescent blue backs, these teeny fish are a subtle gem for smaller aquaria. Take care that water is acidic; realistically, these fish do best in blackwater aquaria, where the dim lighting and tannin-stained water really bring out their colours. Obviously ensure any tankmates are not big enough to eat these tiny fish. Good tankmates include micro tetras and rasboras such as chilli rasboras and tucano tetras.
These are adults, around 2cm/0.75" long.
