Description
Synodontis petricola is a popular species of syno cat from Lake Tanganyika. They have a variety of common names such as dwarf lake syno, leopard upside-down catfish, etc, but most stores simply refer to them as petricola. They are a small syno that usually reach about 4-5" in maximum length. They are a peaceful, if somewhat reclusive species; they are only problematic with tiny tankmates, small enough to fit in their mouths. Petricola spend most of the day hiding in caves, under rocks, etc; using lots of hiding spaces, and/or dim lighting/ helps bring them into view more often.
These are ~0.75-1" juveniles of the hypomelanistic 'Pink' morph.
