Description
Kryptopterus vitreolus is a curious species of schooling catfish from Thailand. In life, these fish are completely see-through, with all their bones visible, making them a standout species in any tank. These catfish reach about 3-3.5" long and should be housed in groups, with at least 5-6 being recommended. Glass cats are quite shy so they fare better with smaller, laid-back tankmates. They also appreciate subdued lighting or the addition of floating plants as they tend to hide away from bright light. Overall these are one of the most unique-looking community fish out there, sure to draw attention to any tank they're in!
These specimens range from about 1.5" long to 2.5".
