Description
Xiphophorus maculatus is a popular and hardy aquarium fish available in a wide variety of colours. Often recommended to beginners or for new tanks due to their hardiness and adaptability, even expert fishkeepers find joy in the ease of breeding them and forming new, unique colour strains.
The Tiger Mickey strain of Platies have irregular orange to red vertical bars, and a tail marking reminiscent of a certain anthropomorphic mouse mascot. These are young adult individuals around 1.5" long.
