Description

Neoheterandria elegans is a diminutive livebearer from Colombia. Related to the least killi (Heterandria formosa), these are a tiny fish indeed, reaching no more than an inch on the largest females and generally not exceeding half an inch for males. They are easy but slow to breed and are best maintained alone due to their shy nature and small size. Temperatures around 75-78F and gentle (or no!) filtration are recommended. Exceptionally clean water is a must, and dense planting will help them feel at ease.

These are subadults around 0.5" long; the females are already gravid even at such a small size! This is a male heavy batch, please reach out and confirm the presence of females if you are looking for any.
