Description
Silurana tropicalis is an adorably goofy clawed frog of the family Pipidae from West Africa. Smaller than their common cousins, Xenopus laevis, but larger than the dwarf frogs of Hymenochirus, they reach about 2.5" long. This makes them a manageable enough size to fit into community aquaria with fish larger than them, so long as they still get enough food. Like all Pipid frogs, they are fully aquatic and need no land of any kind in their enclosure. This rare species is easy to keep and could be comfortably housed in a 10 gallon or more aquarium. A real treat for the frog enthusiast!
